Framing of the Bias Index + betting-indicator stance.

No accusation

The Bias Index is a statistical leaning score computed from public match data. A high index means the referee's decisions diverge from the league baseline by a notable margin — it does not imply dishonesty, corruption, bias of will, or any wrongdoing.

Every match in our data set was officiated according to the laws of the game. Decisions made under match-day pressure are by their nature human and imperfect; this site quantifies their distribution, it does not judge them.

Betting indicators

The Betting tab on each referee page reports statistical frequencies of common in-play markets (e.g. "cards over 4.5"). These are descriptive statistics — they describe what happened in past matches with this referee, they do not predict what will happen in the next match.

Whistlewatch is not a tipster service, does not accept bets, does not partner with any bookmaker, and does not receive a commission on any wager placed by you anywhere. The information is published for analytical interest only.

18+ Gambling can harm

Sports betting involves financial risk. Only bet what you can afford to lose, set personal limits, and seek help if betting is no longer recreational. Free support and self-assessment tools are available at GamCare (UK / international) and BZgA Glücksspielsucht-Hotline (Germany).

Data accuracy

Data is sourced from FBref via soccerdata and recomputed daily (see Methodology). While we make every effort to keep it correct, we cannot guarantee accuracy or completeness, and we assume no liability for decisions made based on it.
